Another character poster finished. The key personality behind the Maranboe zombie virus/hive mind. Only revealed where enough infected are purged to allow the parasitic material created by the virus to converge and grant Maranboe a new body. Though, even in this scenario, Maranboe prefers to possess a body as it requires less energy to maintain.
Maranboe as one of the seven sins of the Naltu was created when the Naltu tried to recreate an experiment of Nute the Scientist. In this case, they tried to recreate the healing factors granted to Auk Mentar and Vampirials to create an unlimited healing factor. IT was both a success and failure. For after creation, Maranboe could not be changed further as he would just recover from it and return to form. This also prevented Nute from recovering the original man that became Maranboe.
As he could not be recovered, he was relocated to a solitary location. This eventually led to him having a run in with a band of cannibals. Unfortunately, being devoured by said cannibals had an unforeseen effect. Maranboe took over the bodies of those that devoured him, his cells adapting and becoming a parasite with viral properties.
Now, any creature that comes into contact with someone infected by Maranboe are added to the fold. Including their power and knowledge, now accessible to the hive.
