Faith Is a Business. Judgment Is Free.
Underneath the grime-streaked brass crosses and the lukewarm soup kitchens of Saint’s Landing, something far darker than desperation is taking root.
In the latest installment of the Books of Forsaken Futures series, Passage 06: Corruptions of the Faith pulls back the veil on institutional rot—and proves that the worst monsters don't always wear fangs. Sometimes, they wear holy robes and corporate price tags.
A Sinner, A Crow, and a Delusional Knight
When Joe Skyne and Lawrence Armory track a cold trail beneath the city’s facade, they don't find a sanctuary. They find a cold, high-tech staging hub built for high-volume logistics and human trafficking—operated under the explicit blessing of the Hall of Saints.
At the center of the operation stands Javier Don Quixote: a figure shrouded in absurd, chivalric delusions, treating stolen lives like disposable bargaining chips for a grand crusade. But where Javier sees a righteous calling, Joe and Lawrence see trash that needs to be cleared.
What follows is an explosive, high-intensity descent into the sub-levels of the faith:
Raw, Unforgiving Combat: Joe relies on brutal physical force and pure elemental rage to shatter the illusion, while Lawrence turns the corridor into a high-speed killing floor, dissecting and stealing enemy magic on the fly.
Shadows on the Ash Flats: Far beyond the perimeter of Saint’s Landing, Yip tracks a scent buried deep beneath weeks of sulfurous dust, while Timaar Daark issues a chilling warning about the fires brewing on the horizon.
The Cost of Victory: As the dust settles, the crew is left to face the harrowing emotional fallout of a system designed to leave no loose ends.
High Stakes. Distinct Perspectives. Unfiltered Gritty Dark Fantasy.
Told across multiple first-person perspectives—each set to its own pulse-pounding soundtrack energy—Corruptions of the Faith pushes the core cast to their absolute limits as the overarching board pieces begin to violently shift.
The fire is burning darker. The shadow players are moving. And the board is about to catch fire.
"Everyone’s slinking around in the dark like masterminds, pretending they’re the ones holding the matches. Let’s see who burns first."
